ghost tree

ghost tree, originally uploaded by cathurynn.

So, I've slacked off recently with posting to the blog. Probably because I've been out of the photo/editing/posting habit lately. I tried to make an HDR image, failed, and was lazy about trying again. In case you were wondering, I succeeded yesterday, but I don't like the result much so I'm going to try again. Once I succeed, it will go up on Flickr and I can get back to editing the rest of my backlog. I'm a slave to posting (and therefore editing) in chronological order. Not because anyone is forcing me to do it that way. Simply because I like things to be in order. Those of you who have seen the rooms I've lived in know that having some things in order does not apply to all things, particularly my clothing. Or the pile of mail that requires action on my part. (Junk mail is easy, it goes in the recycling.)

Anyway, here, buried under my craziness, is the description of the photo way up there at the top of this entry. I went to see the ice on a nearby lake and found this interesting frost patter in the frozen stream. I think it looks like a tree, hence the photo/blog title. There are more ice photos to be found over on my Flickr.
