dogwood
I've got nothing particularly interesting to say at the moment, but I wanted to keep trying to make progress toward more current photos.
I also need to get the photography bug back. I'm pretty sure that if I shake things up and start DOING something, that I'll be feeling more inspiration. At the moment, my house and work are not particularly doing it for me. Although, I would actually take more photos of things at work, if I weren't so busy working! I don't really want to get yelled at for taking photos when I should be working. Maybe I'll get the camera out while I'm on break more often.

flowers on the path
I didn't manage to do all of the walking/hiking that I wanted to do this spring while the wild flowers were blooming, but I did do a little. Luckily this natural area isn't too far from home. On my list of things to do this summer are more outdoor activities. Go camping, hiking, floating, swimming... Although I planned to last summer, I didn't end up camping or floating at all. Last summer was a bit odd though, so hopefully this summer will happen a little more purposefully.

sun shining through
It's another photo catch-up day. As usual, I probably should be doing something more immediately necessary, like laundry or paying bills. Instead I'm finally going through the last 2+ weeks of photos. Working again threw off whatever photography inclination I had left after finishing my Project365 in January. But in the last few days I've picked my camera back up. After letting work make me grumpy a week or so ago, I decided to pick my mood back up. Consequently I'm noticing the little things again, and that tends to lead to photos.
The flowers above are an older photo, probably from early April, but it's so hard for me to skip over photos I love in order to catch back up to present. I'm trying to be choosy, but I'll only manage to meet up with the present if I get back to blogging more frequently. Maybe it'll happen, or maybe not. :)

layers and ages
I've taken more than a few photos of tree bark because I like the lines and patterns. They don't always turn out, just like all other photographic attempts, but I do like this one. This tree had all of these crazy bark "buttes" sticking out all over the surface. Sometimes the little things make me happy. :)
