I should probably be starting the vacation blogging, but it's a large task, so I am totally putting it off. I'm not nearly done with my photo editing, so once I make a more substantial dent, I'll probably get around to catching up here too. :)

I went to the Botanical Garden with Thomas to check out the lotus. They were at the tail end of their blooming period, but there were still some beautiful blossoms and some equally awesome leaves.

since i took this photo we've been eating cherry tomatoes from our garden. they're soooo good. i love good homegrown tomatoes. they have such a full, true tomato flavor that you don't often get from grocery store tomatoes. granted, the tomatoes that you buy in the store get better during the appropriate season, but there's nothing like a really good fresh tomato. in fact, i might head outside right now to see if there are any ripe for my lunch...
