focus
Don't have too much to say today, but I noticed I hadn't posted in a while. I could have gone in to work today because they were short people, but I decided I needed to get in some work of my own. On my list today are delightful tasks like cleaning, getting a car wash, running errands, and starting some laundry. I worked one extra day earlier this week, so I don't feel too lazy not picking up an extra one today. Speaking of work, I need to find out what my hours are for the next couple of weeks. Anyway, this entry isn't going anywhere, so I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I'll leave it at that! :)

night fog
It is foggy again tonight, but not quite as foggy as it was the night of this photo. Fog can get other people down, but most of the time I like it. I should probably get into some photo editing right about now. I have some nice cold weather pictures and some lion dance material that needs to be worked on and uploaded. Whatever doesn't get done tonight will be finished tomorrow.

Tall
I intended to post something that was vaguely Valentines Day themed, but nothing really jumped out at me in my recent photo stream. This giraffe is pretty awesome, so we'll go with it. I thought the light was interesting in their enclosure indoors. Too bad my lens slightly bends lines at short distances. Ah well. One of these days I'll buy myself a fancy camera with different lenses.

cracking
In honor of the freshly fallen (and now blowing around like crazy) snow outside, I'm posting an older snow and ice photo. Taken at "my" lake of course, like all of the other similar photos.

lines against the snow
It's not often that I get to take photos of snow and ice from above. This is on the Arch grounds, of course.
Just last night I caught up to present with photo editing. It wasn't that impressive of a feat since I haven't taken too too many photos lately, but it was something that needed to get done. Getting something (even small tasks) makes me feel accomplished. I should probably move on to bigger tasks now, but today I will probably just do some laundry and make some phone calls that I've been putting off. But hey, additional accomplishments can only spur me on to bigger and better things, right? And I'll have clean clothes to boot. :)

snow and the arch
It might be kinda cheesy that I still like taking pictures of the Arch, but I don't care. Especially when, on days like this, I'm one of the only people wandering around on the Arch grounds with a camera.
I don't think too many of my readers are snowed in today (I think there are maybe four of you, and I probably know all of you and where you live), but if you are, I hope you're enjoying it!

ice
I took this photo of some ice at the lake. The photo was pretty flat and boring, so I opened GIMP to see if some editing would help. I pushed the auto levels button and look what happened! I like it.
Lately I've been less lazy about photographing interesting weather and items around the house so I've a few more photos to play with than I did a month or two ago, which is a good thing. I have to stop letting the cold weather slow me down. :)
