Oak Alley
We visited a plantation on our way from Baton Rouge to New Orleans. Oak Alley is obviously named for the gorgeous live oaks that line the front entrance to the house. I love these trees. For more photos of the Oak Alley trees, you can go here. These trees are about 300 years old. On a previous visit to Louisiana, my family visited Houmas House (another plantation in the same area along the Mississippi) and saw a fantastic 450+ year old tree. Those photos are here.
