NOLA Cemeteries
Kris humored my interest in seeing cemeteries in New Orleans. She had already seen above-ground cemeteries, but I hadn't, so we first took a trip to see St. Louis No. 1, the oldest cemetery in New Orleans which is only a block outside of the French Quarter. It wasn't in very good shape, with many if not most of the names and dates missing from the tombs. And it seems the burial records were destroyed in a fire a while ago. On our second and last day in New Orleans, we headed to the Garden District and stopped by Lafayette Cemetery for a quick visit. It was pretty similiar to the other, but was definitely better maintained.
