Here or There

don't they all look thoughtful? including the painted fellow on the wall? i like this painting for how real and like a photograph it looks. the boys were checking it out and i thought they made an interesting photo like that. i wish it were less noisy, but i took it with a pretty high iso. i was playing with the iso settings and there was low light in the gallery anyway.

i'm looking forward to the opening of the new expansion of the art museum, even though i'm not sure i'm particularly fond of the overall design of the new wing based on the model i saw. oh well! more art is a good thing. :) i do wish they hadn't canceled this year's art in bloom exhibit because of the new expansion, but i can understand their reasoning. the exhibits are shuffled around already and some of the galleries are empty as they rearrange and get things ready. they've got their hands full already. plus, they're hosting a major exhibit at the moment with the ming items (which are cool by the way - i recommend going to see it).
